Live – Cellpath Extension, Newtown
Project Overview
Pave Aways is delivering the extension and renovation of CellPath’s existing facility at Mochdre Industrial Estate, Newtown. The project will provide additional operational space through the construction of a new steel-framed extension, alongside alterations to the existing building to create a seamless connection between the existing and new facilities.
The works have been carefully planned to minimise disruption to CellPath’s ongoing operations while delivering a modern, efficient and sustainable extension that supports the company’s future growth.
The scope of works includes:
- Site preparation and groundworks
- Partial demolition of the existing building to facilitate the new connection
- Construction of a steel-framed extension
- Installation of insulated cladding panels
- Mechanical and electrical installations
- Internal alterations and integration with the existing facility
- Associated external works and finishing elements
Current Status – June 2026
Groundworks are currently progressing on site, including excavation, foundation works and preparation for the new extension. The project remains on programme, with the structural steel frame scheduled for erection during June 2026.
Current Status
The project has now progressed into the next phase, with roof cladding works underway as the building envelope begins to take shape. Groundworks are continuing across the building footprint, where damp proof membrane (DPM), insulation, mesh and reinforcement are being installed in preparation for the concrete slab, which is scheduled to be poured later this month. Following completion of the slab, masonry works will commence.

Sustainability Performance
Pave Aways is committed to reducing the environmental impact of construction activities and monitoring performance throughout the project in line with our larger decarbonisation strategy.

Embodied Carbon Target: under 450tCO₂e
(This target is based on a 760m² steel-framed industrial extension and will be reviewed as procurement and construction activities progress)
