Live – Theatre Severn Auditorium Refurbishment

A transformation is underway at Theatre Severn, where we’re delivering a six-week refurbishment of the main auditorium to enhance the visitor experience and increase the venue’s seating capacity by around 10%.

The programme of works includes the removal and replacement of the existing auditorium seating, replacement of carpets throughout, installation of new glass balustrades to the upper tiers, localised repairs to the plywood beneath the seating where required, and minor decoration to make good affected areas.

The project is progressing well, with the existing seating and carpets now removed, new auditorium seating delivered to site and the installation of the glass balustrades underway.

Careful planning and coordination are essential to ensure the refurbishment is completed in time for Theatre Severn’s autumn programme, allowing the venue to welcome audiences back with an enhanced auditorium capable of accommodating 714 people.

The scheme continues Pave Aways’ commitment to delivering high-quality refurbishment projects across Shropshire’s cultural and community venues, following the successful completion of improvement works to the amphitheatre in Telford Town Park earlier this summer.
