Construction of a new teaching block for students with learning difficulties. Works also included a new road infrastructure. New build single storey steel frame and clad with mixture of light weight cladding and brick work panels approximately 1000 sq. metre floor area, with metal clad pitched roof constructed on piled foundations on strips. Extensive external works to remodel approximately 6,500 cubic metres of sub soil.

The building was built for SEN’s but the design did not reflect this fully and therefore a lot of changes during the works. The Project was negotiated and our Team worked hard to ensure cost increases were mitigated by value engineer reductions. This worked in part apart from the external works, the volumes of arisings were considerably more than envisaged due to the previous MVW Project

Contractor Design items included steel connections, floors slab, M&E and cladding
