Design and construction of a new retail development comprising of two units each 97m2 (gross internal floor area) and one unit 198m2 (gross internal floor area) together with all associated works. The retail units are shell and core construction only.
Demolition and Asbestos removal of retail units and flats above including all site clearance; re-paving of the existing High Street including new lighting and street furniture
The gross internal area for the three commercial units was:
Unit 7 – 97sqm (Wrekin Housing Trust)
Unit 8 – 97sqm (Polish Retail)
Unit 9 – 198sqm (Gladstone Vets)
The structure was formed from steel frame with mono pitch roof, masonry infilled walls with detailed feature brickwork incorporating brick plinths, aluminium windows and fit out to form toilets only. The external works included extension of the car park, attenuation of rain water and extensive foot paths and renewal of the High Street paving and street furniture.
The project was negotiated on the back of the success of the first phase. Both phases were successful and led to further works with Telford and Wrekin.
