Pave Aways helps school build its rugby team

A Shropshire primary school has scored new sports kits and equipment, thanks to us!

We have presented three sets of tag rugby kits for years two, four and six and 20 rugby balls to Pontesbury CE Primary School following the completion of a project to build a new internal classroom. We make a donation to every school we work with as part of our commitment to our building projects.

Pave Aways Managing Director Steven Owen said he hoped the new kit would encourage more young people into the game.

“Sport is very important to me and, in particular, rugby so it was great to make this donation and hopefully inspire more children to give it a go. It was meeting someone through rugby that brought me into the construction industry when I was 22 and I used to coach Victoria Lawson, who is now our Commercial Director, so it’s something very close our hearts at Pave Aways. Who knows, we may discover the next Owen Farrell!”

Head Teacher Richard Langford added: “Tag rugby is a game that builds team skills and gives children a way to keep active in a fun way. We’re really pleased with our new equipment and can’t thank Pave Aways enough for the generous donation.”
