Community Champion - Shropshire Chamber Business Awards 2023
We firmly believe that thriving communities are the bedrock of our society, and it is our responsibility to contribute to their growth and well-being. That is why we were honoured to receive the Community Champion Award in the 2023 Shropshire Chamber Business Awards. Our commitment to the communities in which we live and work has never wavered in the 50 years of Pave Aways. We continue to support every community in which we work and live whether that is through employing local people, using local suppliers and sub-contractors and supporting schools, colleges and communities.
SME of the Year - Constructing Excellence Midlands 2023
We demonstrated that we had engaged with and developed best practice in construction and organisational management; invested in our team through training, development and setting a positive organisational culture; taken action to improve our productivity and work smarter including digital technologies; had a supply chain that adds value to our projects, clients or suppliers; and had a system of setting and monitoring our development and performance. We were also highly commended in the People Development category.
Building Project of the Year - Constructing Excellence Wales 2023
Hafan Yr Afon, a landmark community centre we built in Newtown won the prestigeous Building Project of the Year award in the Constructing Excellence Wales Awards 2023. We were also part of the project team that picked up the Value Award for the Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School that we built for Powys County Council. We are also proud to have been shortlisted for the SME of the Year and the People Development Award.
Highly Commended - Constructing Excellence Wales Awards 2022
Being highly commended in the Residential Property of the Year Award with the Sarn Passivhaus project in Powys was a testament to our dedication to creating exceptional living spaces that harmonize aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. The £1.3m development was the first social housing to be built for the local authority in 30 years and the first ever to meet the stringent Passivhaus condition. We are always working to build a greener future, together.
Refurbishment of the Year - Insider West Midlands Property Awards 2021
Winning the Fit Out/Refurbishment of the Year Award was a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and passion for delivering an outstanding refurbishment at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms, despite the challenges involved on the way.
The renovation and refurbishment of the Assembly Rooms included re-instating the original Castle Square entrance, redesigning the auditorium, creating a new box office, improvements to accessibility, a visitor information centre and café bar, modernisation of the mechanical and technical equipment and the installation of photovoltaic panels to generate electricity.
