Our Business Development Director Paul Moran has been appointed to the board of an organisation that supports services to the construction industry throughout Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Paul, who is a chartered surveyor and chair of Shropshire Constructing Excellence, has joined the board of Landau Marches Construction Ready Partnership in a voluntary role.
Landau has been awarded Phase 2 funding from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to provide a full HR and recruitment service to the construction industry in Shropshire and Herefordshire as it ramps back up following the Covid 19 lockdown.
Paul said: “Encouraging and supporting people into careers in construction and reducing the skills gap is vital to creating a sustainable construction industry. This is something that Pave Aways is passionate about and I look forward to putting my skills and experience in the field to good use with the Marches Construction Ready Partnership.”
Sonia Roberts, the CEO of Landau, said: “This is a great opportunity for the construction industry to replace workers and sub-contractors who may not return to construction after the crisis. It also allows successful companies to grow and take advantage of the many opportunities the post lockdown period presents.
“Landau has the knowledge of the Shropshire and Herefordshire areas, understand the needs of the local developers, housing associations and contractors and has 25 years’ experience of delivering similar programmes of support. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of the programme across our local communities.”
The programme will run from June 2020 until September 2021.
