Considerate Constructors Award for Wellington Refurbishment!

Our refurbishment project at 1 Walker Street in Wellington has been recognised with a Considerate Constructors Scheme Bronze Award.

This achievement highlights the exceptional efforts of our team in transforming the former YMCA building – a prominent historic corner site – into nine high-quality apartments above new ground-floor retail units.

Located in the heart of Wellington’s bustling town centre, and surrounded by residential flats and a local pub, this project required careful planning, strong communication, and a sensitive approach to minimise disruption while delivering lasting value for the local community.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative designed to encourage best practice across the construction industry – particularly in how sites impact the public, the environment, and the workforce. Participating sites are independently assessed on their performance in areas such as appearance, community engagement, environmental protection, site safety, and valuing their workforce.

A huge congratulations goes to Site Manager Tom and the wider team, led by Alex, for their professionalism and commitment to considerate behaviour. This marks a consecutive CCS award for Tom, following his success at Packwood School in 2024 – an outstanding achievement that reflects our team’s high standards across every site.

Well done, all!
