Fundraising fun is afoot…

We work hard and play hard at Pave Aways, especially when it comes to our annual fundraising charity challenges!

This year co-conspirators contracts manager Stefan Ivanovic and construction quality manager Shawn Humphreys are cooking up plans to test the ingenuity and endurance of our team with some trials to push our team’s cunning and physical skills to the limit.

And they’ve kindly shared a few details of the fundraising fun they’re plotting.

The ‘Pave Aways Prison Break’ will see teams of two dressed in traditional stripy convict outfits who will be tasked with getting as far away as possible from the Pave Aways office in Knockin in a six-hour period. All methods of skulduggery will be encouraged to make an escape!

The prisoners will then have to make their way back to a party in Shrewsbury, collecting money from the public on their journey and raising sponsorship.

And in a separate lung-busting test, staff will be tasked with clocking up as many miles as they can on treadmills, spinning bikes and rowing machines in a 24-hour period. A mini gym will be set up at our HQ with people encouraged to take their turn and support their colleagues.

The devious duo haven’t yet revealed how far the total mileage the runners, cyclists and rowers will have to cover but they have promised it will be a tough enough distance to inspire people to dig deep for our chosen charity.

We’re in the process of selecting our 2019 charity – our past partners have included Cure Leukaemia in memory of our colleague Neil Holding and the Midlands Air Ambulance – and we will reveal all soon!
