Progress at the Hamar Centre

Work has resumed, following strict guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of our team on site, on the scheme to extend and improve the Hamar Centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

The new extension and refurbishment of the centre will see the existing Macmillan Cancer Support Service, which provides information and advice to people living with cancer and their loved ones, relocated to a larger space within the Hamar Centre.

There will be a new quiet room for patients and carers and more facilities for counselling and well-being services provided by the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust.

We are adapting the way we work and our schedules in line with the approved protocols for construction sites. As you can see work is progressing well with the internal fit out.
