Apprentice site manager opportunity

We’re looking for the right candidate to make history with Pave Aways as our first ever apprentice site manager.

This exciting new role will train a person in how to lead a team on a busy building site during a three-year apprenticeship whilst completing an HNC in Construction and the Built Environment through the Shrewsbury Colleges Group.

It is the first time we have offered this opportunity as an apprenticeship and applications are now open to those with a construction related qualification at level two or three and experience in a trade, who are looking for next step up in their construction career.

The apprentice will support the day-to-day operation of one of our active contracts including the co-ordination of labour, materials, and resources, complying with the building regulations, range specifications and best practice and quality control.

Training Manager Michelle Benjamin said this was a “rare opportunity” for anyone looking to develop their career in construction.

“This is the first time we have given this as a formal apprenticeship and it will be a comprehensive grounding in the role of site manager, supported by an experienced member of our team.

“At the end of the three years, the apprentice will have gained skills including organisation, leadership and problem solving as well as detailed construction knowledge and a formal qualification.

“We’re looking for a confident self-starter who’s interested in learning from one of the best teams in the industry. This is a rare opportunity within Pave Aways and one that could signal the start of a long career with us for the right person.”
