A record year of fundraising for a local cause

With all the fantastic fundraising that took place across the year, it’s a real highlight to be able to share that a total of £15,675 has been raised for Lingen Davies Cancer Support, our Charity of the Year for 2025.

What started as a series of ideas and conversations grew into moments that brought people together, all with a shared purpose of supporting those affected by cancer in our local community.

Key moments along the way included sponsoring three colour stations at Lingen Davies’ annual ColourFest, a day filled with energy and awareness, our own Wrekin Relay, which saw teams push themselves continuously from dawn to dusk, and our glittering Charity Ball, the main fundraising event of the year.

The charity ball was made a real success thanks to the incredible support shown by our supply chain partners and everyone who donated, attended and helped behind the scenes, and we’re very grateful for the backing we received.

The funds raised will go directly towards providing vital local cancer support services, helping individuals and families at times when compassion and care matter most.

Managing Director Steven Owen said,

It’s incredible to see the impact our team and supply chain partners have had in supporting Lingen Davies this year. I was honoured to attend the launch of their new Sunflower Appeal at Westminster, which will create a Lingen Davies Chemotherapy Centre at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital, scheduled to be up and running by 2029. Raising this record-breaking total is a real testament to the commitment of everyone involved, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting such a valuable resource in our local area.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the Lingen Davies fundraising team for delivering awareness talks to our team throughout the year, and to Andy Pagett, our respected site manager, who shared his first-hand experience of their support and was a fantastic speaker at our events, helping everyone connect with the real impact of Lingen Davies’ work.
