Tonight, we’re swapping our hi-vis for black tie to join some of the county’s most inspiring businesses at the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.
We’re delighted to be finalists in not one, but two categories: Company of the Year and Best Place to Work.
We last lifted the Company of the Year trophy in 2019, a moment many of us still remember fondly. Last year, we returned as finalists in the Champion of Champions category, recognising previous award winners who continue to make a positive impact on the region’s business community.
Since then, we’ve navigated unprecedented challenges, adapted to changing markets, embraced new technologies, expanded into new regions and delivered projects that have made a lasting difference to communities. Despite that growth, we’ve remained true to who we are.
From our roots in Shropshire, we’ve grown to deliver projects across Mid and North Wales, the Midlands and the North West of England. Today, our teams work across education, healthcare, leisure, heritage and community sectors, helping clients bring their ambitions to life while creating places that leave a lasting legacy.
Recent months have brought further recognition of the values that continue to drive the business. Earlier this year, Pave Aways received a King’s Award for Enterprise in Promoting Opportunity, one of the UK’s most prestigious business honours. The award recognised our long-standing commitment to creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds and helping individuals build meaningful careers within the construction industry.
That same commitment was reflected in the achievement of Investors in People Gold accreditation. Leaping directly from standard to gold, the assessment placed Pave Aways significantly above the construction sector average and highlighted a culture where employees feel supported, valued and able to develop.
