A contemporary look for new classrooms

Our team recently handed over three new classrooms at Whittington Primary School for Shropshire Council.

The 250 square metre extension has provided an additional three contemporary classrooms and toilet facilities. These may not look like your average classrooms, and it was extraordinary to see how they’ve shaped up during the specialist furniture fit-out.

Martin Ellis, senior architectural technologist from Property Services Group sums up working with us as:

Dependable – working with Pave Aways at all stages of the design and build project provided assurances that the project would be delivered on time and to the required standard.

Pave Aways were attentive and proactive as the project required them to work closely with the School to deliver this large building project whilst the School continued in operation, safely managing difficult site access and School’s use of the playing field. Their excellent working relationship with the School to deliver on a restricted site meant that the School continued to operate unaffected by the construction works.

The design has provided an excellent extension to the existing facilities on site with new classrooms designed and constructed to DFE standards, exceeding current environmental performance standards and achieving and BREEAM sustainability rating of Very Good. The site was well managed and resourced to deliver the project on time to a high standard for the School to move into as planned.

We’re not done just yet – we will be back again later on in the Spring to complete the finishing touches with some vibrant landscaping.
