We’re proud to announce that Pave Aways has been shortlisted for the Medium Employer category at the 2025 Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin Apprentice Awards (STWAA) – a category sponsored by SBLTV.
This comes a year after we won the very same award at the inaugural ceremony last October. To be acknowledged again for our commitment to apprenticeships and skills development is a real honour, and testament to the opportunities we strive to create.
This year, Pave Aways has experienced the awards from every angle, as a previous winner, a category sponsor, and now as part of the judging process.
We are proud sponsors of the Construction and Civil Engineering Apprentice of the Year category (sponsored by Pave Aways), and our Commercial Director, Victoria Lawson, was involved in shortlisting the nominees last week. The entries demonstrated the exceptional quality of young people entering the industry, and the challenge of narrowing them down was no small task!
“We wanted to see why the candidates are passionate about the construction industry, how they’ve evolved since joining their trade, and how they’re making a difference within their organisations,” said Victoria.
“It was brilliant to see the level of detail in entries this year. So many of the applicants are already influencing the culture around them.”

Apprenticeships are an important part of our culture at Pave Aways. Many of our team began their careers with us as apprentices or trainees and have since taken on senior roles – Victoria included!
