New-build residential and retail development in Wellington

Pave Aways has been appointed to deliver the redevelopment of 2 Walker Street and 15 Duke Street in Wellington, Telford, transforming the site of an unsafe existing building into a new period-style development incorporating residential accommodation and a retail space.

The project will see the existing structures carefully demolished before the site is redeveloped with a new two-storey, steel-framed masonry building, designed to complement the character of the surrounding area.

Bringing a new building to the heart of Wellington

The works involve a number of complex construction activities, including the demolition of the existing buildings, extensive groundworks and underpinning before the construction of the new building can begin.

Once the existing structures have been removed, Pave Aways will undertake the necessary groundworks and underpinning before progressing with the steel frame, masonry construction and associated works to create the new residential and retail accommodation.

The new development will provide a modern, purpose-built space while retaining a period architectural character, helping the building sit sympathetically within the established streetscape of Walker Street and Duke Street.
