Dining Hall Extension, Welshpool Victoria Memorial Hospital
Pave Aways delivered a 16-week project to extend the existing dining room at Victoria Memorial Hospital, enhancing the facilities available for staff and visitors. The scheme represents a significant improvement to an important local healthcare asset and was completed on time and on budget, reflecting careful planning, coordination, and execution.
Scope for the project involved the construction of a brand-new extension to the existing dining room, combined with a range of internal and external alterations. Structural modifications were carried out to accommodate the increased footprint, while new roof elements were installed to seamlessly integrate with the existing building.
Internally, the works included upgraded lighting, mechanical and electrical systems, and carefully considered alterations to optimise the flow and functionality of the space. Externally, drainage works were carried out and all affected areas were fully made good, ensuring the extension complemented the hospital’s existing site. Every aspect of the project was delivered with attention to detail, ensuring a high-quality, durable, and functional facility.
This was our first time working with Pave Aways, and we are extremely pleased with their performance and the quality of the final product. The overall finish is to a very high standard, and the team were always available and willing to help with any requests. The project was delivered on time and within budget, despite the challenges of winter conditions. Oli Roberts, the site manager, demonstrated excellent leadership, ensuring seamless coordination with our team and specialist contractors. Overall, this has been a hugely successful project, and we look forward to collaborating with Pave Aways on future schemes.
