Pave Aways stalwart retires

It was the end of an era at Pave Aways when our Health & Safety Manager Steve Taylor completed his final day on the job after 20 years in the role.

We marked the day with a special celebration for Steve, who has been the key to ensuring we deliver the highest standard of construction while protecting the welfare of our team.

Managing Director Steven Owen said Steve had been one of the lynchpins of the business as Pave Aways has grown over the past 20 years.

“Steve is one of the most recognised faces at Pave Aways, both on site and with our sub-contractors and clients. His enthusiasm and professionalism have raised and maintained safety standards across Pave Aways, placing the true values of health and safety at the core of our management priorities, and helping us to secure important ISO accreditations.

“He has, quite simply, been a rock and we couldn’t have achieved the success we have done in recent years without him.”

Alex Taylor, trainee health and safety officer, is moving into Steve’s role.
