New sports gear for school

We have handed over more than £500 of sports kit and equipment to Woodside Primary School as part of our community benefits programme.

Following our recent completion of the refurbishment of the former nursery to a new multipurpose wellbeing centre, commercial director, Victoria Lawson, and apprentice carpenter (and proud former Woodside pupil!), Michael Carter, presented a donation of foam javelins, balls, bibs, discuss’ and more to the students and PE staff at the school.

The wellbeing centre offers a space for a “pupil-led” environment with opportunities for parents and other groups to get guidance in overwhelming situations. It includes a sensory play room for children, and multipurpose rooms to be used for meetings, children play areas and more.

We have received fantastic feedback from the Client, praising our “very good relationship with the Site Manager” and noting that “despite the project being small, a lot of effort went into making sure the outcome was of a very high standard. The outcome was excellent”.

Our community benefits programme aims to deliver lasting value to the local community around each and every project we deliver, which is one of the reasons we hold the Community Champion: Business in the Community Award from the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards 2023.
