Live – Shones Lane Residential Development, Llay

Pave Aways is delivering a new residential scheme on behalf of First Choice Housing Association at Shones Lane in Llay, Wrexham. The project involves the transformation of the former Co-op site into a high-quality apartment block, comprising four self-contained, energy-efficient homes.

The scheme is designed to provide much-needed housing in the local area, with a focus on sustainability and long-term efficiency. Each apartment will benefit from features such as integrated solar PV, helping to reduce energy costs and environmental impact. Due to be completed by December 2025.

Current Status (June 2025): The initial phase of the works is progressing well. Demolition of the existing building is complete, along with the installation of surface and foul water drainage systems. Construction of the reinforced concrete raft slab is now underway, with the first concrete pour recently completed. Timber frame installation is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
